Reflection on International Preschool Webinar with Ms. Marta Arkuszynska

 On 29th of March we had a very interesting webinar about an international preschool .Miss Arkuszynska, showed us the curriculum of the kindergarten , it was Canadian curriculum, which included so many new things for me. I liked the idea that there is freedom in the school and they teach it from the early age. I think international schools make people open-minded by sharing different cultures and backgrounds. Also, I liked the idea that they have a separate time to share their opinions and just talk about how they feel. I think it is very important to give them time to describe their feelings to raise more deliberate people.

Other aspect that I liked is they have so many excellent opportunities for such young kids starting from swimming pool and having another sports and the environments itself. I think it is very productive to make kids learn via play and using total physical response, because they are very young kids.

Another aspect that shocked me (because we do not have it in my country, but I think it is very essential to be aware of that kind of information) is sex education. They teach kids their private organs, moreover making them aware that this is confidential. Another thing is that no one can touch them, hug or kiss if they do not have a permission from them to do it. I think this aspects are very important and sensitive, however it should not be too much, because raising kids in that kind of environment is ok but when you give too much information it can have different channels. 

I hope that in the near future not only private schools will have the opportunity for such a curriculum but as well as governmental. It is a good way to give our kids a bright future my giving them all the conditions that they need for learning. I am very grateful for such webinars because each time it make me think of new ideas and to compare our educational system with other countries, which can help me in the future to make adjustments in our curriculum :)
