PRACTICE DAYS-1

Hello, everyone. I have started my practice on 10.01.2022 and forgot to post all my blog entries that I had written a long time ago on word sheet.

It was totally a new environment for me, a lot of mixed feelings because the first lesson was with 0 graders, who are 6 years old. The class was full, there were 17 students and still 2 missing. The teacher started with greeting and told her students to say hello to me. After they made a circle and teacher also revised the last topic which were "games". Teacher had an octopus (toy) and started asking students the names of the pictures on the flashcards. These were (charades, tic tac toe, hide and seek, hopscotch and etc). To make it more stable Teacher opened a song called "freeze song" and in the intervals she showed the cards to revise it again. Students were very active and used polish. I have noticed and compared the classroom environment with schools in my country and noticed that everything is made for student's comfort, they had the carper, plants their own shelves and the most important they have a chance to change their shoes to be more comfortable, so children can move freely. Also, they had duties in the classroom, which was very nice because they learn to take the responsibility from earlier age and its easier for the teacher also, not to spread the papers and go through the whole class, which is a little time consuming. Also, they had a huge panel with their works on it, which is also a good idea to see and revise some of the old works. In general children were happy and very active, it was a little uncomfortable that I could not speak polish (maybe to become more friendly with them) but with some of them I could have a small talk in English, which made me very happy. The last thing that I want to talk was their desks, they change the order when they become bored but the order of them was some were sitting 3 like triangle desks and some were sitting 4 people a little far from the teacher's desk, so I was interested how they manage the desks and asked the teacher, she said that main teacher does it, so she does not know. 

So, in general it was so informative and a lovely experience with young learners <3
