REFLECTION ON THE WEBINAR 2

On December 22nd, I attended a webinar titled "Working in a Bilingual Preschool & Teaching Children Online," which was led by Justyna Wasek, who works in an international pre-school in Warsaw.

The most essential topic for me was online teaching because it is a problem that has yet to be resolved adequately. For example, in my practice, I am experiencing the same issue while observing some of the sessions online, and it is quite difficult for the teachers, especially if the kids are very young learners. I liked how Mrs.Justyna presented some recommendations and opened up some challenges that teachers may have in online classes; it is more difficult to maintain effective management of online classes. , so I am glad that she gave us the information about it.

Mrs. Justyna's presentation was interesting since she talked about school settlement and what it's like to work in a bilingual school. She also underlined the need of strengthening relationships between parents and children. That teacher should always appreciate youngsters and be patient with them. She also introduced the school motto, "It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men,"which I completely agree with, because everything begins with education, and the teacher's role in the student's life is important, so the teacher should be strongly connected with their students to know what they need. I wish every school had a motto and ideology to follow, because it impressed me so much that this school places such a high value on connections and goes out of its way to ensure the comfort of the children and provide opportunities for an interesting education.

To summarize, I believe that webinars provide us with a lot of important information and that it is quite beneficial to listen to individuals who are more experienced than us, and I believe that having these kinds of webinars are a wonderful experience.

  1. I completely agree with the points in your post. I also loved the points about strengthening relationships with your students. The quote about "building strong kids" stuck with me as well. I'm glad to see that I'm not the only student, who is fascinated with this part of teaching.
